After years of gaming, we've realized that games are the most enjoyable when: 1) You are playing with friends and 2) you are winning. We want to recruit as high quality of gamers as we can, but no matter the gamer's skill level, if they are not compatible with our core values, they won't stay in our guild. Hence, people and progression but people over progression is our goal. We are wanting all gamers who are compatible with our core values. You can't teach culture, but you can teach skills. We teach and measure skill levels through our game academies and skill ranks.
We establish game academies for our games to help improve our member's skill levels. Our skill ranks are such that:
The ranks that we use inside games which support member management (ie, MMOs) are consistent with these skill ranks. Our guild ranks are separate.
